How to make and fulfill resolutions for New Year

Make and fulfill resolutions for the New Year. No matter how hard it may be to accomplish your goals or plans, have a good start by following these tips for a better year than before.

Make and fulfill resolutions that are SMART.

    make and keep resolutions

In my previous post, I gave worthy ideas for New Year’s resolutions, one of which is investing in learning something for a better active income.

Here are two study programs listed in the highest-paying IT jobs for 2022 that you or your relative may want to consider studying.  Using SMART, you will have greater chances of fulfilling your resolutions.

    Example 1

    S – Specific: Take UX/UI Design to become a UX/UI Designer.

M – Measurable: I will get a certificate of completion.

    A – Attainable:

There are many choices for study, all of which are short-term and affordable.

Udemy: at P649 ~ $14 (promo until Jan 6, 2022) or P4,990 ~ $99 (regular) for 25.5 hours of study with certificate of completion.

Alison: free with 15 hours of study but at €65 to get a diploma at the end of this course. I can start and finish the course without paying anything. I only pay when I want to get a diploma. (Certification for certificate courses is €21.)

Coursera (a Google Professional Certificate): at $59 (P3,000) monthly or $354 for six months. An annual payment of $399 (P20,000) is a better option in case I can’t finish the course in six months. I can use the extra months for many other available programs of study.  Scholarship is available.

Even more, the course is for beginners, and I have an aptitude for logic, psychology, and design.

R – Relevant: UX Design will be handy for me in improving my website and building more sites. Part of the course is applying for a job; hence, I can apply for a UX Design job with better income since it is in demand today.

T – Time-bound: The course duration is short: Alison (15 hours), Udemy (25.5 hours), Coursera: (210 hours).

    Example 2

S – Specific: Take Full-Stack Software Development to become a software developer.

M – Measurable: I will get a certificate of completion.

    A – Attainable:

Again, there are choices for study, all of which are short-term and affordable.

DICT with Linked In: Free with 21 hours of study. Click “Getting Started” to get to the Software Development learning path.

Udemy: at P649 ~ $14 (promo until Jan 6, 2022) or P4,990 ~ $99 (regular) and for 54.5 hours of study with certificate of completion.

Coursera (an IBM Professional Certificate): approximately 13 months with 3hrs/day. If hours are increased, it can be taken for 12 months and the cost will still be $399 (annual). Scholarship is available.

Edureka (a masters course with capstone project): $999 with 200+ hours of study. Scholarship is available.

Furthermore, it is for beginners, and I have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website development using WordPress.

R – Relevant: Knowledge in software development will be relevant in improving my website and creating more. I can apply for jobs with better income since software development is in-demand today.

T – Time-bound: The duration for the course is 31 hours or about 21 days with 1.5 hours of study per day.

In the following posts, I will be listing down the highest-paying IT and non-IT jobs. Additionally, I will post course details for each in-demand and high-paying job.

    Example 3

    make and fulfill resolutions 2

Though you can make SMART resolutions, it is necessary to adjust your schedule, make a chart for it, and post it wherever possible to remind yourself.

Moreover, make a schedule for the courses you will be taking.

Watch out for my next posts with course details for Software Development and many other programs you can consider studying.

To conclude, these are just tips to help you fulfill your resolutions; however, your determination and persistence are the key factors.
